Proraso RED aftershave lotion is a traditional alcohol-based splash that refreshes the skin and completes the shave with a warm sandalwood fragrance. The light liquid absorbs immediately and leaves no creamy layer, giving freshly shaved skin the clean, toned sensation associated with a classic Italian aftershave. Glycerin and betaine help the skin retain moisture, while sandalwood oil and shea butter oil add a softer, more conditioning finish than a very simple alcohol splash.

The fragrance is warm and enveloping, centred on creamy sandalwood rather than sharp citrus or menthol freshness. It pairs naturally with the Proraso RED routine for coarse beards, but the lotion itself is best chosen by skin preference: it suits those who enjoy the brisk feel of an alcohol-based splash and do not need the richer comfort of a balm.

Choose this if: Choose it for normal to oily skin, a quick-absorbing liquid texture and a traditional invigorating finish after shaving. Very dry, highly reactive or alcohol-sensitive skin may feel more comfortable with an alcohol-free balm. Choose an unscented product if fragrance is a concern.

How to use: After shaving, rinse the face with cool water and pat dry. Pour a small amount into the palms, then press and gently massage over the shaved area. Avoid the eye area, damaged skin and deeper cuts.
