Solid body soaps are for those who appreciate simplicity in the shower: one concentrated bar that can be lathered between the hands or applied directly to wet skin. They take up little space in the bathroom or a travel bag, and require no plastic bottle or pump.

Yet solid soaps can differ considerably. How gently they cleanse and how the skin feels afterwards depend on the individual formulation, not simply on the solid format.
